Start your Bayou Country adventure with the Houma Area Visitors Center. This interpretive center is your introduction to southern Louisiana. A local expert is here to guide you through all the sights, sounds and tastes of the area. Restaurant guides, local maps and suggested itineraries are all available to you.

The Houma Area Visitors Center also includes interactive exhibits to explain local culture, history, industry and environments. Watch drone videos that soar above the wetlands and explain the difference between swamps, marshes, bayous and canals. Discover the importance of coastal conservation and restoration efforts.
